Breakpoint Arrows Don't work well with variable slidesClosed (fixed)Project: Slick CarouselVersion: 7.x-2.x-devComponent: CodePriority: NormalCategory: Bug reportAssigned: UnassignedReporter: philswardCreated: 12 Jan 2019 at 05:45 UTCUpdated: 19 Apr 2019 at 07:14 UTCJump to comment: Most recent, Most recent fileSee issue #2936696: Breakpoint Arrows Don't work for contextLong story short, arrows do not always work when using breakpoints. The "expected" result is that arrows will "always" show up, if "arrows" is selected in the breakpoint UI and there are slides outside of the slide viewing range. The motivation is that the arrows make a LOT more sense to dumb people than dots. Regardless of screen size, if the arrows aren't there as a UI indicator to "do something", people won't know they can change slides. For example, I quit using tabs of content on pages because people kept asking questions about information that was clearly available in the tabbed content. When I got rid of the tabs and put all of the info on the page as a long scroll, the questions stopped. Same concept here. If the arrows aren't there, folks don't know what to do with the slide. The current result is that arrows will only show up "if" there are more slides than what the slick viewing area can display. (If there are dots, there should be arrows)Example 1: 2 slides will always fit the largest viewport, therefore arrows will never show up, regardless of viewport. (Not even working on actual mobile browser...) The expected behavior is that there will be no arrows if it can't slide and arrows if it can, hence the problem with the breakpoints. I see dots but no arrows in this scenario.Example 2: 6 slides will not fit the largest viewport (requiring dots, arrows etc regardless of viewport size), therefore the arrows will always show up for each and every breakpoint.I wish I could debug and give more info than this, but I'm ignorant in this area. All I know is that I don't get arrows "if" the largest viewport doesn't have to create an actual slide.Breakpoint Arrows Don't work well with variable slidesClosed (fixed)Project: Slick CarouselVersion: 7.x-2.x-devComponent: CodePriority: NormalCategory: Bug reportAssigned: UnassignedReporter: philswardCreated: 12 Jan 2019 at 05:45 UTCUpdated: 19 Apr 2019 at 07:14 UTCJump to comment: Most recent, Most recent fileSee issue #2936696: Breakpoint Arrows Don't work for contextLong story short, arrows do not always work when using breakpoints. The "expected" result is that arrows will "always" show up, if "arrows" is selected in the breakpoint UI and there are slides outside of the slide viewing range. The motivation is that the arrows make a LOT more sense to dumb people than dots.
